I wasn't always an accountant. At age 25, I was employed as a factory worker. This was my life for 14 years until I left the blue-collar sector and went to school for a Master's of Science degree in accounting. I graduated in 2013 and began work as an accountant in 2014. For the past 11+ years, I have moved up from entry level corporate accounting to the position of accounting manager in my current role. I am looking now to use my skills the help small businesses clean up and streamline their bookkeeping processes. I am also certified as an Intuit QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
I have a passion for accounting. Both of my parents were accountants, so I came by it honestly. After my years of service in manufacturing, I realized I was unhappy doing what I was doing. So, I made the decision to do what I love, instead. I graduated from Liberty University with a 3.93 GPA, and have surrounded myself with a great group of influential peers who have guided me over the years. Every day is a new adventure for me.
Because I have a "day" job, I am in a position to use my extra time to take on some bookkeeping clients at reasonable rates. This is my way of helping those who are starting out trying to get their own business up and running.
